On April 28, 2025, Rob Morrison was re-elected as the Member of Parliament for the newly-redistributed Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies riding, winning 50.45% of the vote with 35,830 ballots — his strongest result across three elections.
Morrison defeated Liberal candidate Reggie Goldsbury (28.17%) and NDP candidate Kallee Lins (17.98%) on a turnout of 72.96%. It was the first time in 25 years that a Liberal candidate finished in second place in the Kootenays.
"I'm hoping that we move into where we start looking at our economy and we start looking at how we do a better job — and how do we make more money?" Morrison said at his Cranbrook victory gathering, focusing on the affordability concerns that dominated the doorstep conversation.
Rob has now been elected in 2019, 2021, and 2025 — earning the trust of Kootenay voters three times.
